Luree LeBrock

Fearless Leader 1 - Luree LeBrock

“Our motivation is to provide a unique experience rather than a standard excursion. We’re a small, family-owned business with a passion for what we do—and we have a lot of fun doing it.”– Luree

As a proud third-generation Ketchikanite, Luree grew up the way locals do—immersed in the outdoors and rarely indoors for long. From hiking and hunting to fishing, camping, seaplane flying, and kayaking, she’s done it all.

Born and raised in Ketchikan, Luree has witnessed the community evolve over the years, giving her a deep understanding of its history, character, and hidden gems. Whether you’re curious about local stories or the best off-the-beaten-path spots, she’s a go-to resource.

With a lifelong love of island living and the outdoors, Luree founded Ketchikan Expeditions to share that passion with others. Her goal is simple: help visitors experience her hometown the way locals do—authentic, adventurous, and always unforgettable.

As the heart of daily operations and guest experiences, Luree ensures every outing feels personal, not packaged.

Tim Cash

Fearless Leader 2 - Tim Cash (AKA "Tour Daddy")

“If you’re not laughing, you’re not doing it right!”– Tim Cash

Tim arrived in Ketchikan as a Florida “pretty boy” in search of adventure—and found far more than he bargained for on our wild, remote island. While the good looks may have helped him blend in, it’s his grit, Marine Corps background, and genuine passion for the outdoors that truly define him.

What started as a one-summer stint—just to say he experienced Alaska—quickly turned into something permanent. As Ketchikan often does, it worked its magic, and Tim realized he had found his forever home. Fifteen years ago, he officially traded in seasonal status for full-time “resident wild man.”

Tim quickly embraced the tight-knit community and the rugged, outdoorsy lifestyle that makes this place so special. After gaining experience in the tour industry, he felt inspired to create something of his own—something more personal, more authentic. He brought the idea to Luree, and just like that, Ketchikan Expeditions, LLC was born.

Today, Tim helps lead the charge in making every trip memorable, with a focus on fun, connection, and real adventure.

Why Should I book with Ketchikan Expeditions?

We are a locally owned company with a desire to enrich your experience by sharing the town we know and love! Local knowledge is definitely key and having an experienced team with local expertise gives us confidence that we’ll leave you happy because, frankly, we are FUN! Growing up here means we know where all the wilderness hotspots are. Hence, we focus our city tours on optimizing your wildlife encounters. It’s a privilege to share our rainforest and majestic mountains that surround our coastal city. We are proud of our history and Native Southeast Alaska culture alike. We definitely love our hometown and sharing the adventures that await!

Is it Safe to Book with local companies? Our Cruise ship says we may be left behind.

It is completely safe! Our schedules are designed around the cruise ships’ arrivals and departures. We can guarantee you will be back to board your ship in plenty of time. We also receive a constant stream of updates to the cruise ship timetables, which means we’ll know if your boat is delayed for any reason. Best of all, we’re able to offer more competitive deals than the cruise ships because you are booking locally.

What Happens If My Ship Is Delayed Arriving into Port?

Don’t worry, we will know if your ship is delayed. We will automatically adjust your schedule and factor in any delays against the timing of your tour. When you arrive at the port, just check in with one of our representatives, located at the Ketchikan Visitors Centers or call us at 1 (907) 617-7120. If your ship doesn’t make it to port for any reason, we will refund you in full without incurring any administration fees or penalties.

Terms and Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is as follows: Cancellations 14 days prior to your tour date are fully refundable, less a $25.00 processing or tour change fee. Cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice, or no shows, are non-refundable. Should Ketchikan Expeditions or one of our Partners need to cancel a trip due to poor weather conditions, or any other reason, your trip will be refunded in full. If your Cruise Ship doesn’t arrive in port due to weather, you will be fully refunded.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Your information is safely transmitted to us through a secure server. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise give your information to any third parties without your consent. We are committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained.

What if it Rains?

Our land tours go out rain or shine! When you grow up in a rainforest you learn to play in the rain. We will provide umbrellas and we have rain gear available, but rest assured our tour vans are warm, dry and comfortable. Flightseeing Tours done by Air or by Sea are dependent upon all conditions to ensure safety standards. Our Partners will cancel any tour deemed dangerous to passenger safety. If any tour is canceled due to weather restrictions, all fees will be refunded.

Are we guaranteed to see wild animals?

Sadly no…we definitely cannot guarantee any wildlife sightings for the obvious reasons such as…they are wild! With that being said, we are on a remote island surrounded by complete wilderness, so you have a pretty good chance of seeing something wild such as deer, eagle, harbor seal, sea lions, otters, humpback whales, Orcas, bears and lots of seagulls! Bring your camera.

We are traveling in a large Group, how many people can you accommodate?

We love group travelers and are able to accommodate up to 120 passengers. We just need to coordinate with your travel agent or party leader at least a week or two in advance in order for us to accommodate a group of that size. Please call us for assistance in planning your time in Ketchikan.
