Are masks required?
Your personal safety is important to us. While we do not require anyone to wear masks, we will wear them if you are more comfortable. Simply ask your Guide to put one on and they will happily comply.
What safety precautions are taken?
We clean and sanitize our vehicles between each custom tour. Hand sanitizer is available in each vehicle.
Each tour Guide is First Aid and CPR certified. Each van is equipped with a first aid kit and fire extinguisher. If you need child safety seats or have any additional requests, please call ahead and we are happy to accommodate.
What happens if my ship is delayed arriving into Port?
Don’t worry, we will know if your ship is delayed. We will automatically adjust your schedule and factor in any delays against the timing of your tour. When you arrive at the port, just check in with one of our representatives, located in the Ketchikan Visitors Centers (Berth 2) or call us at 1 (907) 617-7120. If your ship doesn’t make it to port for any reason, we will refund you in full without incurring any administration fees or penalties.
Are we guaranteed to see wild animals?
Sadly no, we definitely cannot guarantee any wildlife sightings for the obvious reasons such as…they are wild! With that being said, we are on a remote island surrounded by complete wilderness, so you have a pretty good chance of seeing something wild. Keep your eyes open for sitka black tail deer, bald eagles, harbor seal, sea lions, sea otters, humpback whales, orcas, bears and lots of seagulls! Bring your camera, photo opportunity awaits!
Is it safe to book with local companies? Our Cruise ship says we may be left behind.
It is completely safe! Our schedules are designed around the cruise ships’ arrivals and departures. We can guarantee you will be back to board your ship in plenty of time. We also receive updates to the cruise ship timetables, which means we’ll know if your boat is delayed for any reason. Best of all, we’re able to offer more competitive deals than the cruise ships because you are booking locally.
What if it Rains?
Our land tours go out rain or shine! When you grow up in a rainforest you learn to work and play in the rain. Rest assured our tour vans and trolleys are warm and comfortable. All flight-seeing and boating excursions are dependent upon all conditions including weather to ensure safety standards. Any tour deemed dangerous to passenger safety will be canceled. If any tour is canceled due to weather restrictions, all fees will be refunded.
Terms and Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 14 days’ prior to your tour date are fully refundable, less a $25.00 processing fee.
- Cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice, or no shows, are non-refundable.

Should we tip our Guide?
Tipping is customary, but of course not compulsory. Our Guides are only employed seasonally, and a gratuity is a wonderful way to show appreciation to your Guide for providing you with a memorable vacation experience.
We are traveling in a large Group, how many people can you accommodate?
We love large groups and are able to accommodate up to a total of 18 passengers in two luxury vans and an additional 34 passengers in our vintage replica Trolley cable car. In order to accommodate large groups, we do need to coordinate with your travel agent or group leader at least a week or two in advance.
